The Editor

The editor is a native Californian writer/editor in publishing and the Memorial’s founder. She independently researches, confirms, and posts each fallen racehorse, with occasional reports submitted by visitors anonymously. 

In 2005, a favorite horse she followed at Santa Anita, Star Over the Bay (USA), suddenly disappeared, and she discovered he had perished in a G1 turf race in Singapore. His death became the catalyst for founding the Memorial.

In 2007, from the stands at Santa Anita, she witnessed the fatal breakdown of Hendrix (USA) (G2 turf) and decided never to attend horseracing again.
