Due to the coronavirus pandemic, as of 3/18/2020 the horses at Santa Anita continued working and racing while the track was temporarily closed to the public — except for “essential racing personnel” licensed by the California Horse Racing Board [CHRB], plus federal and state officials and health agencies, and a few guests of the owners — until further notice.
The public watched and wagered online. But in this volatile, global situation, who knows what tomorrow will bring? (Santa Anita updates)
